The Army Of Georgia
badge was issued towards the end of the war. This medal is seen on cdv's of soldiers towards the end of the war.
Suspended by an eagle hanger which is mostly always missing when found. This medal has the company and regiment
marked on the reverse by the soldier. It's a shame he didn't put his name on it also. It measures 1 3/16" diameter. It has the symbols of the 14th,15th,17th and 20th corps on the reverse and the bust of Major General W.T. Sherman on the obverse. The composition is usually what is called "white metal" (plated pot metal).
